Forest Green midfielder Lee Fowler is progressing well from a knee ligament injury, but is still set to be out until early December.
Striker Liam Enver-Marum should on the bench, with Reece Styche and Ross Dyer expected to start in attack.
Forest Green Rovers boss Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "We have played two very good sides in Mansfield and York and come away with six points.
"Now we have set standards that we need to maintain, or even better.
"A clean sheet will guarantee us a point and if we can start scoring goals, then it's happy days."
